Head Coach:  Mauri Fillion

Mauri is the mother of 3 children enrolled in the Wynnbrook Co-Op.  She is a military spouse, and registered nurse that holds specialized certifications in Functional Medicine and Integrative and Holistic Nurse Coaching. Mauri believes that health is directly connected physical activity and it is essential to give our children the ability to make fitness and health a lifelong pursuit. From a multi-sport collegiate athlete into adulthood Mauri has consistently remained active and eager to learn and try new forms of fitness.   Upon completing four years of collegiate sports competition in multiple sports, she shifted her focus towards starting her family while maintaining wellness through functional fitness and running. As an adult she has completed many road races including 5ks and 10ks, multiple half marathons, as well as several ultra relays and ultra marathons. Mauri has three years of coaching experience as a Child and Youth Sports volunteer on Fort Moore.  She believes that cross country and sports are a great way for young people to develop the habit of intentionally moving their bodies each day. Mauri hopes to help the young runners of Wynnbrook see running as a way to develop their character, build resilience, and set the foundation for a lifelong practice of movement, exercise, and community.
