Warriors for Christ FAQs
We understand that families may have questions about how Warriors for Christ combines homeschooling with classroom instruction. Below are answers to several frequently asked questions about the program.
What grades does Warriors for Christ serve?
Warriors for Christ serves students in Pre-K through eighth grade.
How often do students attend classes on campus?
Students attend classes on campus two days per week through either the Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday program. Classes begin at 8:30 a.m. and dismiss at 3:10 p.m.
Are parents still responsible for teaching at home?
Yes. Parents remain their children’s primary teachers. Co-op faculty provide classroom instruction, assignments, academic accountability, assessment, communication, and encouragement, while families complete assigned work and continue learning at home.
Is Warriors for Christ a Christian program?
Yes. Warriors for Christ exists to glorify God and approaches academics and student life from a biblical worldview. The program seeks to encourage students to pursue a relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
What should students wear?
On Mondays and Tuesdays, students wear a red, white, cobalt blue, or navy polo with approved navy or khaki bottoms. Wednesdays and Thursdays are Spirit Days, when students may wear jeans with a Wynnbrook Christian School or Warriors for Christ Co-op shirt. Athletic footwear is required for safety. Should students bring lunch?
Pre-K students must bring a ready-to-eat packed lunch in a Bento-style lunch box or similar container. Kindergarten through eighth-grade students may bring a packed lunch or preorder a school lunch through the FACTS Family Portal.
Should students bring a snack and water?
Yes. Students should bring a snack and a pre-filled water bottle each day. Limited snacks may also be available for purchase from the Co-op office.
What happens if my child is absent or tardy?
Parents should communicate absences or anticipated late arrivals to their child’s teacher as early as possible. Parents and students are responsible for contacting teachers about missed assignments. Students should be seated and ready for class by 8:30 a.m.
Is after-school care available?
Students who have not been picked up by 3:25 p.m. will be transferred to after-school care, and additional charges will apply. Contact the Co-op office for current availability and rates.
Can Co-op students participate in athletics and school activities?
Co-op students may participate in eligible Wynnbrook Christian School athletics and other school-wide activities. Participation requirements and additional fees may apply.
How do I apply?
New families can begin the enrollment process by completing the online application. After it is submitted, Warriors for Christ will contact the family regarding assessment, placement, and next steps.
