Cross Country Coach

Head Coach: Mitch Holman

Coach Holman recently retired from Gulfstream Aerospace after a 32 year career as an aircraft structural engineer. He currently serves as the interim minister at Chattahoochee Valley Church of Christ while the congregation searches for a full time minister.

Running has been a passion of Coach Holman's for more than 30 years. During that time, he has completed dozens of races ranging from 5Ks to full marathons. His favorite distance is the half marathon, and he enjoys running one nearly every month.

As a father of five and grandfather of five, Coach Holman has spent many years encouraging and investing in young people. For the past 12 years, he has led chess clubs in several schools, teaching students not only how to play the game but also the importance of good sportsmanship, perseverance, and always striving to improve. This year, he has been working with the Wynnbrook Chess Club and also hosts a neighborhood chess club for local students.

The Wynnbrook community is already a familiar place for the Holman family. Two of Coach Holman's daughters serve on our faculty. Heather Jiles is our Librarian, and Samantha Holman teaches Middle School Science.
Coach Holman is looking forward to sharing his love of running with our students and helping them grow both on and off the course. We are excited to have him leading our Cross Country team this season.

Whitney Fagan leads Wynnbrook Christian School’s Junior Running Program, helping younger students build confidence, develop healthy habits, and discover the joy of running.

Coach Whitney brings a wealth of experience to the program with a degree in Kinesiology, a master's in Education, and over 15 years of teaching PE and Health. She also serves as Wynnbrook's Athletic Director and has coached girls basketball, swimming, and softball at both the middle school and varsity levels.

As a mom of three Wynnbrook students, Coach Whitney is passionate about helping children build confidence, develop healthy habits, and discover the joy of being active. Her goal is to create a fun, encouraging environment where young runners can grow in endurance, teamwork, and perseverance.

We can't wait for our youngest athletes to learn from her and kick off this exciting new program!
