COVID19 Decision Tree

Our goal at WCS is to implement a plan in which we can help protect students, teachers, administrators, staff and families from any illness, not just COVID19. We have collaborated with state and local health officials, CDC, American Academy of Pediatrics, Doctors in our area, and our School Board to seek wise counsel in developing our plan. Along with the CDC and AAP, we believe the implementation of this plan should be guided by what is feasible, practical, acceptable, and tailored to the needs of our school. WCS is blessed in that we have small classroom sizes, and we do not use buses which reduces our risk significantly. We do believe our policies must be flexible in responding to new information, and we must be willing to refine our approaches when specific policies are not working. We want to operate smartly, safely and sensibly while promoting a positive learning environment for our students. We do not want to promote a spirit of fear when students are at school (2 Timothy 1:7, Hebrews 13:6, and Philippians 4:6-7).

Personal prevention practices (such as hand washing, staying home when sick) and environmental cleaning and disinfection are important principles that will be covered in this plan. Fortunately, there are a number of actions our school can take to help lower the risk of COVID-19 exposure and spread during school sessions and activities. The following plan outlines those actions WCS is implementing.

Our Operations Plan for re-opening school is attached for you to review. If you have any questions please contact me at:

I look forward to seeing you and your family at WCS.
