Conduct
Students are required to comply with WCS rules for personal conduct. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action ranging from detention to expulsion.
WCS reserves the right to expel any student whose actions, attitude, or presence is detrimental or discredits WCS. Applications for reenrollment will be considered on the merits of each case.
Students are expected to:
- be respectful to each other and the WCS staff and faculty
- respond positively to correction
- obey the classroom rules established by their master
- do their own work (both in class and at home)
- move quietly in hallways and go directly to and from their destinations
- take responsibility for their own books, supplies and personal clothing
The following activities are within the definition of “cheating,” and subject to disciplinary action:
- looking at another student’s paper during a test or exam
- copying answers from any source during a test or exam
- talking during a test or exam
- copying another student’s homework
- telling another student what questions were on a test he has not taken
- signing a parent’s name on any paper sent by WCS
The following items are prohibited for students at WCS:
- Weapons of any kind
- Medication (must be delivered by parent to WCS office)
- Drugs or alcohol
- Personal entertainment devices
- Personal communication equipment
- Chewing gum, candy or “junk food”
- Toys, games, personal gifts
Sales: No sales or fund-raisers of any kind are permitted at, or for the benefit of WCS, unless approved in advance by the WCS Board.
Personal Responsibility: Students are expected to come to school prepared for that day’s activities. They will not be permitted to call home for homework, textbooks or papers that were forgotten. Parents are discouraged from delivering such items to WCS.
