Process for Admissions for Kindergarten/New Students
1. Please complete and submit all application information to the school admissions officer. This information includes the following:
- Completed admission application
- Previous school Cumulative Records (mailed or faxed from previous school only)
- Attendance Record
- Previous School Withdrawal Record
- Current academic records
- Current (last 12 months) standardized tests scores (To be selected from)
- CRCT
- ITBS
- CTP4
- Other-(Discretion of the Admission Committee)
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Copy of Social Security Card
- Immunization Form (GA # 3231)
- Vision/Hearing Screening (#3300)
- Letter of Recommendation from Administrator or Teacher
(Steps 2 and 3 may be exercised while waiting for Step 1-B to be sent)
2. Academic Test and Fee ($30 non-re-fundable)
3. Registration Fee ($350 re-fundable only if not accepted by Admission Committee)
4. The Admissions Committee (Administrator, Testing Coordinator, Faculty Member) will review all of the Application Material and make a formal recommendation to the Headmaster for either Conditional or Un-Conditional Admission regarding the application for admission.
- Conditional Admission-student is accepted to the school on a Probationary Status for a period not to exceed 45 academic days. During this term, the student is evaluated on their academic and behavioral performance. A student receiving positive evaluations will be elevated to Un-Conditional Admission status. A student not being recommended for Un-Conditional Admission will be dismissed from the school.
- Un-Conditional Admission-student is accepted to WCS without the review of an academic or behavioral probation evaluation.
5. The Headmaster makes the final decision regarding the admission of the student. Parent/ Legal Guardian is notified via letter or telephone communication process.
